Here is a little video of Lincoln singing last night. Thought it might make you laugh...

Frosty the Snowman
Okay, so Lincoln has been loving the old Frosty the Snowman movie lately & he watches it over and over. Last night he went outside with Tom to help him shovel the walk while it was snowing & when they were done they decided to build a snowman.
When I took the camera out to Tom to take pictures I could hear Lincoln talking to the snowman! He said "Frosty, it's okay" and "Dad, Frosty melt". When he said "Dad, Frosty can't talk" we had to explain that we didn't have the magic hat for Frosty to wear. After I went back inside to be with the baby I guess he told Frosty it was okay again & gave him a hug. Then he asked "Dad, take Frosty home" & Tom told Linc that it was okay because we live at the North Pole. He was happy after that. However, I am afraid for the day Frosty decides to melt....
1 month old
I cannot believe it! Hazel was 4 weeks old on Wednesday & it just blows me away. I feel like we just barely got home from the hospital. I must have been in a daze for the last month (or REALLY sleep deprived!!!) because I do not remember 4 weeks going by. She is really growing lengthwise & her cheeks are chunking up. She still looks so small to other people, but I am sad because she looks so big compared to when she was first born. I don't want her to grow up fast. I held her on the scale the other day & I think she weighs about 8.5 lbs. It is amazing how fast time goes by & I have a feeling it is going to go faster every year.

Hazel update
I don't think Hazel has changed much yet, but I figured I would post some new pictures of her anyway. She is the best little baby. She only cries when she is wanting to eat or if she gets too cold when I change her diaper. Other than that she either just hangs out or sleeps. Lincoln is loving her and he is being a great older brother. If he hears her crying he will tell her "it's okay baby - it's okay". He has learned to call Hazel a "her" instead of a "him". Whenever I am holding her he comes up to me and says "Please see her" and then gets right in her face and tells her "so cute". He has a harder time when Daddy holds her though. He wants dad to be his playmate & mom to hold the baby. Lincoln doesn't like it when I put Hazel in her bassinet to sleep. He likes her to be with us at all times.
Loving the Snow

Here is a picture of Hazel's first bath & other ones of her just "hanging out." We haven't been up to too much lately. We mostly just watch tv, play with Lincoln & try to sneak in as many naps as we can. Lincoln has been really good with her & he tries to share his favorite toys with her (like his hammer!)
Squeaker
We tried to capture Hazel during one of her "squeaker" moments, but she only squirms a little bit during this video. I thought it would still be fun for those of you who haven't seen her yet since she is awake & moving. Normally before she starts to cry she lets out a few "warning squeaks". It is really cute!

beautiful baby girl
Here is our beautiful baby girl Hazel. Even though she is the tiniest thing I have ever seen (5 lbs 14 oz), she is pretty strong (especially when I try to put her diaper on). The doctors let us come home today & we are happy to be with Tom & Lincoln. Linc has been a very good brother so far by telling her she is "so cute" & giving her many hugs. Tommy has been a wonderful dad/husband by snuggling her constantly & letting mom get in some sleep. We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving today & we will keep you updated as much as we can. Love you!

Transformer
Here is a little video of Lincoln transforming from the flying Optimus Prime into an autobot, then back into a big stomping robot. If you watch closely you will see him clasp his hands together & shake them back & forth while making "transforming noises".

Pampered
Okay, so today Lincoln has decided to make up for all of his bad deeds and pamper me by giving me a wonderful pedicure. Here is a picture showing him "painting" my toes - he is being very serious by holding onto each one as he paints. After my feet were done he went off to be more manly & paint his tool bench.
Waiting...Waiting...Waiting...
No news yet on when the baby is going to join us. My nurse & doctor both thought I was going to have the baby early, but so far we have had no false labor, no contractions, nothing... My real due date isn't for another week though so let's just hope that I have it before then and don't go over. I will keep you updated.
In the meantime, Lincoln has been giving me a sneek preview of how he is going to become a little more challenging for me once the baby is here. He might be going shopping with me less after the last couple of days experiences. He thinks it is funny to run away from me & hide at the stores, charge at me & try to knock me down, throw groceries from our cart, or pull my hair when I hold him at the cashier. He always apologizes on the way home by saying "Sorry mommy" or "Mommy, be happy!" Last night he wanted me to "be happy" so he started twirling around in the middle of the room with his finger on top of his head like a ballerina (and it did make me smile cause I don't know where he learned it from!) As Nicole mentioned on her blog the other day, it is a good thing our kids say funny things to make it all worth it at the end of the day.

A Child of Many Faces
Lincoln's imagination has been running wild lately. He would much rather make up a game to play than to actually play with the toys we buy him. He is often seen to be dressed up as a cowboy, a superhero, a cook and a pirate. He also loves to "transform" from a robot to an autobot (with sound effects and everything!)
