Nice Weather

We are so excited to finally have beautiful warm weather and no rain. The kids have been wanting to live outside as soon as they wake up. The other day we got out our plastic pool and the kids had so much fun! It is amazing to me how much kids love water and how entertaining it can be.

Lately Lincoln has been asking Tommy why he sold his jeep and asking if we could get another one that they could work on together. Well, since a jeep isn't in our neer future Tommy decided to get the kids their own jeep to drive. The kids love it! If Hazel scoots all the way to the edge of the seat she can just barely reach the pedals and give her and Linc a very jerky ride. If Linc keeps up his persistancy I can see another jeep project in our future...

4th of July

The 4th of July is one of Tommy's favorite holiday's of the year and this year he talked Lincoln into it also. Every year Tommy decorates our yard with about 30 tiki torches and we have a bbq with a bunch of friends and family. Lincoln was so excited about our party that when he woke up and I tried to get him ready to go to the parade he told me he couldn't because he didn't want to miss the party. It took me a while to convince him that the party wasn't until dinner time and I would make sure he was there for it. Tommy stayed behind to prep for the party (tiki torches, chinese lanterns, tables, etc.) while I took the kids by my mom's house for a parade. Lincoln was great and sat in the wagon most of the time & Hazel was a little wild, but mostly sat with my mom. Their favorite part of the whole parade was chasing after the candy (of course!).

Later that night we had a great turn-out for the bbq and enjoyed watching the city park fireworks from the front yard. Unfortunately this was the parks last year of fireworks so we might have to do something different next year. We'll see what we can talk Tommy into...
