Winter already????

Lincoln was sooooooo excited to wake up to snow this morning. He was able to play in it twice at school today and couldn't wait to come home and play in it again. Hazel thought it was fun for a moment, then came inside and wanted to warm up. I am with her. Definitely not ready to freeze yet. Thank goodness it is almost all melted tonight (I am praying it stays that way!)

More Halloween

Yesterday I thought it would be fun to make sugar cookies with the kids for Halloween - well, it didn't turn out like I had hoped. They had fun for a minute cutting out the cookies, but then they got bored so I did it. They were really only interested in eating the dough. After I baked the cookies I thought they would have fun frosting and eating, but I was wrong again. They didn't want to frost or eat them - they were disappointed I hadn't saved more of the dough for them. Oh well, next time I will know what to do.

Then when daddy got home the real fun began since it was pumkin carving time!

Tommy is great at doing the scary pumpkins...

Lincoln wanted a bat pumpkin and Hazel wanted Hello Kitty...

my kids are so sad that Halloween is almost over. When we went to Costco tonight Lincoln almost started crying because the Christmas trees are out. My kids are just like their daddy and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Halloween.

Halloween and Fall have arrived

We went to our first Halloween party last night and the kids had so much fun dressing up!

Can you guess who Hazel is? She is not just any white cat, she is supposed to be Hello Kitty. When she isisted on being Hello Kitty I looked online for costumes since I hadn't seen any in the store, but the only one I found was where you pretty much wear Hello Kitty's head as a hat. Since Hazel isn't much into hats I just had to make her costume. Don't know if anyone will really know who she is, but at least she loves it and thinks she is Hello Kitty!! :0)

And of course Lincoln chose to be Dracula this year since he has been OBSESSED with vampires since last year. He thinks he looks super spooky and he loves to wear his vampire teeth everywhere.

Our first party was at my moms new house and we had such a fun time last night. There were two other cats (besides Hazel), a super funny clown, superman, spiderman and Darth Vader.

while the adults had chili & cornbread the kids enjoyed eating mummies (hot dogs wraped in rolls) and brains (jello) and then they went on a spooky scavenger hunt to find treasure to fill their bags. Thanks mom - we had so much fun!!

Today cooled off quite a bit and rained and brought down most of the leaves in my backyard. The kids and two of their cousins had a great time raking up the leaves and burying each other. Looks like I am going to have some great helpers this year raking up my leaves!

Oh, and of course the other day we had to do the annual trip to Gardner Village to see the witches. Lincoln loves walking around and finding all of them since they move them around every year.

my kids...

Here is my cute little scientist doing experiments in his room without permission...

and here is my little princess trying on all of her dress-ups at once...

Nothing could make Hazel happier at the grocery store than having her very own small cart to push. She had so much fun on this shopping trip - too bad it isn't my normal grocery store.

Here the kids are fixing the cracks in the driveway for me - with mud. They had so much fun getting messy :o) They definitely had to have a bath BEFORE dinner on this night.

I love thise kids so much!!

The tiniest little nursery

Here is the baby's tiny little nursery - just waiting for her. And it is seriously small. Those of you that have been to our house might remember the original laundry room, that was then converted to my office, and now makes room for the baby to have her own space. To make it feel a little bigger I painted the walls a pretty bright turquoise color (it's hard to tell from the pictures, but it is like "wow" bright). I like it a lot better than the previously dark green walls that made it feel like a cave. My mom made the bumper pad and skirt for the little mini crib and the only thing we have left to do for that is to add the ribbon ties on. Other than that all of her blankets, chlothes and burp cloths are washed and ready to go.
3 weeks and 2 days and hopefully she will make her first appearance. We are so excited!!
