Catch up

I have been such a slacker and haven't posted in FOREVER!! But I will spare you all of the small details and just note some of the bigger milestones that have happened lately.

First off, Lincoln got his first "two wheeler" bike the other week. He has never shown an interest in having a two wheeler bike until a boy down the street teased him for riding his big wheels and told him he needed his baby training wheels off. This made Lincoln very determined to get a two wheeler bike and ride it (with the training wheels of course!). The day we brought it home from the store he hopped on it and we went around the block with our neighbors. He has fallen once, but other than that he is doing great.

We had a wonderful Easter this year that was full of fun parties with both family and friends. We took part in many easter egg hunts and consumed way too much candy. Here is a cute pic of the kids before church on Sunday. Lincoln would NOT stand up straight for anything - he is such a ham! They both looked so cute in their new easter dress and Linc was way excited to wear a suit like Dad. Now he is trying to talk Tommy into getting a vest to match him - he he!

The other day we were hanging out in the front yard and I gave Hazel a strawberry to snack on. Well, instead of just eating it when I handed it to her she walked over to my neighbors yard and sat on her front steps to eat it. I don't know why, but both of my kids would rather hang out in her yard than ours. At least my neighbor is super friendly and always welcomes them.

Lincoln had his first t-ball game last night and it was so much fun! A bunch of the kids in the neighborhood all signed up together and we are on the Red Sox team and luckily we play indoors so we won't have to worry about cancellations due to weather. The main goal is to see who can get to the ball first. If a ball goes into outfield the WHOLE team runs after it - it was like watching a school of fish. There were a few hurt feelings for those who did not catch a ball, but hopefully they will all get their chance by the end of the season. Lincoln finally got one near the end of the game and the look on his face was pure joy.

Lincoln has always been pretty versatile with his hands, but he usually prefers the left hand and is a little bit more coordinated with the left. When searching for mitts we couldn't find any left handed ones, so he is stuck with a righty. Luckily he can almost throw as well with his right hand. He does bat left handed and he had one really good hit last night that made us so proud.
