Bling!
I have always loved little girls with earrings. I think they are so cute. I was afraid to get Hazel's ears pierced because I didn't want to be judged by those people who might not agree, but today I decided "who cares?". The experience went well & she only cried for a few minutes & now she doesn't even notice them. We just got home from the mall & took a few pics (sorry they are not the best) to show off her new bling. They were the smallest earrings they had, but they still kinda look big. I sure she will grow into them soon.

It's Fiesta Time!!
OLE! OLE! We celebrated a birthday!! Tommy's birthday is this Tuesday so we had a Fiesta on Friday night to celebrate. Many friends came to celebrate with us and we had a wonderful time. We decorated the backyard with maracas, pinatas & 22 tiki torches and later in the night we had a mariachi guy come & play for us for an hour. Tommy said it was his best birthday in 3 years!!! Here is a little peak into the festivities...
SUMMER!!
We are loving the summer and it is going by way too fast! Here are a couple of pics of things the kids & I have been up to lately. Here we are at a play group a couple weeks ago after we went swimming. The kids LOVED it! Hazel floated in an infant tube and Linc wore a life jacket & was daring enough to try to swim by himself (this is great for him since we NEVER go swimming!)

We decorated a tricycle for the neighborhood Pioneer Day bike parade & Lincoln thought it was the coolest bike ever. He had to try it out to make sure it would be fast enough for the parade (because decorated bikes are faster!)
After his bike ride we took his helmet off & he had a confused look on his face. He would look in his helmet, feel around inside the helmet, then feel his hair. Finally he asked "mom, where did all this water come from??" Obviously we don't play outside enough because I had to explain what sweat was.
And here we are at the Pioneer Day breakfast & bike parade. We didn't make it all the way around the block with everybody else, but we had a great time!

Fun in the Sun (with cousins)
Today my sisters came over to our house with their kids & we had so much fun outside. While we hung out under the shady umbrellas the kids swam, splashed, rode bikes, drew with sidewalk chalk, played in the sandbox & on the slides & swings. Lincoln loves friends, so he was so happy that we had a playdate today. They played so hard, hopefully everyone napped as well as Lincoln did!

Check out these chunky legs!!

cowboy time!
My mom's primary had a cowboy party the other night in her backyard so she invited us to come with the kids. Lincoln had so much fun! They had a pony Lincoln brushed, face painting, hot dogs & cotton candy, & they rode stick horses. When it was time to leave Lincoln was so sad & he cried the whole way home (well, he actually cries everytime we leave the park, cousins or grandparents - he loves to have friends!!)

and yes, Tommy had his face painted also - some of it got rubbed off, but it was originally a unicorn!

4th of July
Okay, so I know I am way behind on posting this, but I still wanted to show you our 4th of July photos. We didn't attend any parades this year - we just stayed home to prepare for our little party we had later that night. Tommy & Lincoln hung a flag up on the front of our house & surrounded the house with tiki torches for decorations. We didn't end up having many little kids show up for the party, but thank goodness for Uncle Louie & Cousin Skylar - they made Lincoln's night. He loves hanging out with those guys! Here are a few pictures of our night. We just hung out on the front lawn because we had a perfect view of our city parks fireworks show. Tommy is not in any of the pics because he was either lighting fireworks or entertaining our guests.
MMMMM.... cake..... Lincoln was holding cake in his left hand and Hazel snatched some of it & threw it in her mouth before I could get it. She is a quick one!

We had a wonderful day - Happy belated 4th of July!!

Family Reunion - Fun times!
We went to a reunion last weekend with my mom's extended family. It was fun to visit with 2nd Aunts & Uncles & Cousins as well as my Grandparents & more immediate family. It was on my Great Uncles farm up in Duchesne - they have a nice sized pond that the kids loved to fish, throw rocks & canoe in (someone even sunk one of the canoes- see picture below) Lincoln had a blast and was so sad to leave. He loved all of the friends & the freedom of always being outside. He can't wait to go camping again. The theme was 50's - here are some of the cute poodle skirts my mom made to add to the fun! (Oh, the band-aid on Hazel's head is just from a cut she recieved after falling over on one of Lincoln's toy tractors)

Water Jet Car
My dad gave Lincoln this water jet car for his birthday. He loves it and so do our neighbors. When we were out playing with it yesterday people that were either driving or walking by had to stop to watch the car shoot off - it is fun for everyone! (I know in the video Linc doesn't act too excited, but we had already shot it off about 5 times before I filmed it.) And the bonus is that when it shoots off you get sprayed with water if you are behind it - a fun way to cool off!

Happy Birthday Lincoln!
His birthday was actually two weekends ago - I am just late at posting pictures. We had his party at a bounce house that does private parties. It was nice having only the people we invited, that way the young kids didn't get trampled. We had a blast - the time went by way too fast!

Notice Lincoln's arm blocking his cousin Finn - he didn't want to share the candle blowing with anyone!
