Egg dying time!

It is so much fun as the kids get older to do all of the holiday traditions. I loved how involved both of them were with the egg dying this year. They both had so much fun and we ended up with some very cute (and very crushed!) eggs this year.

Can you say CHEESE!!!!

Lincoln's talk

Lincoln was asked last week to talk in church today. I told him he could have a few days to think about what he wanted to talk about and that Tommy could help him. He was so excited to write his own talk. He finally decided he wanted to talk on prayer and the golden rule. The other night Tommy sat down with Linc and wrote down the talk in Linc's own words.

Praying is how we talk to Heavenly Father and Jesus. In prayers we pray for people to get better if they are sick, and happy if they are sad. We ask for blessings. We say thanks for blessings. The golden rule is to be nice to others so they will be nice to you. If everyone did the golden rule everyone would be happy. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

I was so proud of him to be excited about his talk and to take the time to think of what he wanted to talk about, and of course for the fact that he wanted to write it himself (he was actually sad that he couldn't literally write it, that instead he had to translate it).

Of course, no talk by Lincoln would be 100% correct if he didn't try to make people laugh. Unfortunately I wasn't there, but Tommy told me all about it after church. He started off at the microphone by saying "patootie", then halfway through the talk he did the potty dance, looked and Tommy and said "I have to go to the bathroom", so they took a short intermission and came back and finished. Then to finish it off he told me he said "stickers" at the end. Don't really know what this means, but he said he wanted to make people laugh. That's my Lincoln :-)

Cousins Weekend!!

The other weekend my sister FINALLY let me pay her back and watch her kids (she always watches my kids when Tommy and I want to get away). My kids had so much fun having live-in playmates for 3 days. The day after they left Hazel woke up crying because her Ava was gone.
We kept busy by making our own pizzas

building dinosaur hotels (and yes, Lincoln is a big scary dinosaur)Spending A LOT of time outside digging for worms

riding big boy bikesgoing for a Jeep ride

and taking my neighbors dog for walks (we were babysitting him also.)
We really enjoyed the weekend and my kids can't wait until we can do it again (I loved it too since my kids never got bored!)
